I've used a campsite in northernmost bay few yrs ago & recall more sites there than Adk Paddler's Map shows. They are all "near" the Indian carry but I found it noisy from SR3 traffic. I've no reason to think the 2 by entrance to NW bay aren't there but haven't confirmed this visually.
What's your intended rte ? I could likely recommend some nicer nearby campsites if you're not committed to the ponds ? -

If you arrive after dark & wanna car camp you can drive into Axton landing on the Raquette R. It's a short but bumpy & signed loop rd off Coreys Rd before you reach Stoney Creek bridge. Imm E of SC bridge is another campsite on N side of rd. Site on S side now posted "No camping" by DEC. There are add. numbered rdside campsites farther E on Coreys Rd. The leanto near mouth of SC & nice riverside campsite just beyond can be reached in 5 min hike from Raq Falls trailhead (but are sometimes party sites)
Watch for current @ S end of SC ponds. Inlet (Ampersand Brook) & outlet (Stoney Creek) are adjacent. Enjoy !Comment

Mozongo,
There are many sites all along Corey's road once you get past the bridge over Stoney Creek. There are also 3(I think) sites at Axton Landing, a popular put-in and parking area on the Raquette. You will see a sign for Axton Landing on the right before crossing Stoney Creek. The Stoney Creek lean-to(on the Raquette) is a short walk from the horse assembly area past Stoney Creek. Start off on the horse trail and you soon come to a herd path on the right that leads to the river and lean-to. Just past the lean-to is a beautiful tent site on the banks of the river.
