    Saranac River, Sept 18th....

    Hi,

I'm planning to fly fish the Saranac for my third time this year next week. I will be probably be fishing the part from the mouth to the imperial dam.
What fish can I expect? I'm probably to early for landlocked salmon?
    Rainbow? Brown? Small mouth?
    Wich section I should try?

    Thanks a lot for all!

You are early for the mouth...unless you want small mouths. There's not much water AT ALL and it is very warm in the lower Saranac. Head to the public fishing access points around Riverview and toward Saranac Lake. NYSDEC has them marked on the website.

    Good luck!

Yes I try this part this summer, in riverview, you think it would be a better place? For brown?

Fish and move, you'll find them. Don't stay in one hole too long.
