    Report ice out here

I thought I would start a thread for reporting ice out. You dont have to give the exact pond or lake if you want to protect your secret spots, but a general hint as to the region would be helpful.

any word on the major lakes yet?

        I have a Realistic Prediction:

According to my Whammy Ball.... hmmmmm... let's see...
I see pondhopper timing it perfectly and crucifying some large trout w/no one around.

        So what else is new...?

To check the ice on 13th Lake, check out Garnet Hill's website. The new owner said he would post the condition of the ice.

Our Adirondack resort and hotel near North Creek is open year-round and offers on-site dining, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, cozy lodging, and more.

              Northwest Foothill Lakes

Anyone know if lakes in the foothills (e.g. Trout Lake, Bonaparte, Sylvia) are showing signs of opening up?

well, the pond in washington park in downtown Albany still has a good amount of ice on it, so until that breaks up, I dont have much hope for open water in the Daks.

Actually, the channel of Lake Champlain is opening south of the Crown Point Bridge, and the edges are really starting to soften around Fort Ti; the LaChute dumping in is breaking up the ice.

My vacation starts Friday....I'm hoping the shores are at least out in the ponds a few yards so I can hike in and fish from shore...by the end of my break anyway.

Redoak - Looks like we might be iced.

However, Lake Algonquin is still iced in. A few.....

Lake george is still frozen. The northwest bay is showing some very limited thaw, but it'll be a while yet.
