  • Teeny Streams and Big Brookies

    While my small stream brookies don't compare with many of the lake/pond brookies I see regularly posted on this forum, I've been pulling some biggins out of one location in particular. Caught this beauty today, and the 3rd pic of my son catching an 18 incher last year gives you an idea of how small/shallow this stream is (his reaction is priceless). Was a good day!

        NHtroutster, anything over a 10-12” native stream brookie is a trophy in my books so those are absolute hogs! Beautiful wild or native fish! I’d be smiling way more than that . Thanks for sharing your outing with us! WB.

            Hate to say it but that 2nd fish is a splake, forked tail. Nice fish nonetheless.

                Wow, I completely missed that Creek... Have to admit I thought it's color pattern was off, but I wasn't thinking of a splake. I guess it makes sense. This one looked a lot different than the 3 brothers/sisters in the same area.
