IMO- doing price comparisons for the same model on-line would be the way to go.
I've used trolling motors on boats alot, but have only used it in my Radisson 12 footer a couple times. You'll definately, want to have lo-o-ong battery cable leads, so the heavy,deep-cycle battery is w-a-a-ay up front!
I always liked Minnkota's with "maximizers", for 3 days trolling worth on a good brand battery. BUT- that's just personal preference and not too much experience with those things.
