    Should have gone yesterday

But I was sick. Still sick today but some success was had. Trolled 4th lake in the usual spots for lakers and salmon and not one hit which really surprised me. However, the west wind was shifting and by the time we were done it was SE.

Did manage a couple, here is one. Not the biggest salmon in the world but its a purty male so I thought I'd throw it up. I'm sure those in the know can figure out where I got this one .

I know EXACTLY where that is. Taken many a lunch break there driving through. Good for you!

Nice pic! Just down the Lake from my camp! Hows the water level? Is my dock high and dry yet?

I think there's been so much snow and rain that they can't keep up with the water even though the gate's wide open. Water levels are usually lower at this point in the game. I don't know if you've been to your camp since the snowstorm but there is a lot of tree damage, you may want to check things out.

The best part of the trip was after catching and releasing that fish and another, the guy with the goats showed up. Those goats are better behaved than his dogs.

Creekwader, I did get down to my camp sunday 10/29 and there was no damage. Lots of small branches down but nothing big enough to harm anything.I headed south about noon and I heard that the wind picked up in the afternoon so Ill have to get back up there.
            Were you fishing from shore?
p.s. Did you see the new pillars on the building behind you in that pic?

Sorry I'm late on this. Orange/white clouser minnow on a size 2 straight eye salmon hook.

Pillars? Not sure, will have to check it out next time. They put a nice new grate in the gateway a couple years back that seems to prevent migration downstream unless of course the water's going over the dam.

I went up Saturday and trolled 7th for awhile and we got a couple small ones. Of course I lost a big one after it leaped and threw the hook. We had lots of hits but they weren't hitting too aggressively. Haven't seen a single rainbow yet this year, all salmon.
