    Plastics, what's the lifetime?

In preperation for the bass opener, I've looked through my tackle and find a fair number of "older" plastics that have been in the box for a while. I'm wondering, for those of you that use plastics, how long do you keep them? Do you toss em out at the end of the year? Or just use them till there gone? Thanks. Slam

I have used plastics for many seasons. it really depends on the condition of the materials.

I do not use them if they begin to get sticky or deformed. Also, if you are using scented baits, like powerbait--your nose will tell you when to replace them.

I use a lot of Texas rigs for bass, so usually the plastics wear out pretty fast due to the hook.
