Most embarrassing item we forgot on an outing

    Hey All,Lets have some fun,

    O.k..... I`ll start off with a dandy!!!!

I arrived streamside w/ my brother to find I forgot my fly reel home....

I could`nt believe it .....I now have a case that holds the fly rod/reel enclosed in its own case....so,hopefully it won`t happen again ....but, thank God my brother was nice enough to let me share his set-up with him ....and...believe it or not, we had one of our best days ever astream, landing 10-12 trout a piece taking turns with the one rod...

So, don`t be shy, let us know what embarrassing things you have left behind while on an outing?

Forgot a boot once. Actually, I packed the wrong one. Opened my duffel to find one left hiking boot and one left cross-country ski boot.

Oh, my God, I`ve had to turn around, still quite close to the house(thank God) to retrieve the paddles also...one time ice-fishing....my brother and I planned a very early morning trip to Lake Eaton and got out there at first light,we were all pysched to have a nice hot(air temp. was 0 F) canadian bacon and egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast on the ice ,only to dig through my backpack to find I left the propane bottles home ....thanks to my brother Marzrw...he saved the day and brought along a spare and saved the day ....I don`t know how that sandwich would`ve tasted uncooked.....
and yes, I have had to rip a bandana in pieces for laboratory purposes...this getting pretty good, come on theres gotta be more....Thanks Hugh, you are making me feel alot better, most of those items I either forget or have lost along the way....
Hey, how many of you have lost knives, while either cleaning game/fish or having lunch and never ,ever found any knives in your travels....amazing how many I`ve lost but, never found those I lost (after going back to that exact spot)or anybody elses....
              I think they dissipitate!

Done that one so often I don't even try to remember anymore. It's not so bad in the low-elevation hardwoods. It kinda sucks in the high borreal conifers though............

I forgot to bring a net while smallmouth fishing on a small private ADK pond. I didn't realize it until the biggest smallmouth I have ever seen fell off my Mepps spinner at boatside. The thing had to have been seven pounds....no kidding. "I can't believe you forgot the f-ing net!" my dad reminded me.

If mine had been a film camera I would have had film but not the camera.
