I recently fished a few small streams after the rain and cooler nights. Was good to catch several small brookies after this really hot and minimal rain summer

With all the recent rain here on Tug Hill and eastern ADKs , brook trout lakes and ponds should be good in another week or 2. Planning a couple of overnight trips in the Five Ponds Wilderness.

See you in a week or so. I've got a new specialty line that I hope does the trick.
“Once there were brook trout in the streams in the mountains. They smelled of moss in your hand. On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again. In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery.”

VT. Man, that’s not like you to get completely skunked. But, as you very well know, some days it just isn’t gonna happen no matter what. Well, hopefully they’ll feel like eating your next trip out. Tightlines!
