    Indian Lake info

    Hi all,
This is my first post here, so I hope I don't screw it up. I'm interested in paddling across Indian Lake to the Baldface Mt. trailhead. For various reasons, we don't want to start way down at the State campground. The ADK guide says it's possible to put in at Lakeside Cottages on Lake Shore Dr. for a fee, but I can't find any info or phone listing for them. Does anyone know of a possible launch site in this area? We will have a canoe and 2 kayaks (total 2 vehicles). Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Jan, Can you please post their answer. I remember this little trip being highly recommended in the fall. Your post reminded me of the trail and now that we have kayaks.....

Called Clark's. They charge $5 per canoe or kayak.

Thanks Jan, that's not too bad considering the alternative seems to be to paddle from the state campground.

I agree. Especially considering you would have to pay a day-use fee at the campground.
