Things seemed a little slow around here, so i figured i'd post a few photos.
I know that the weather's been hot and nasty everywhere, so there probably aren't too many people fishing.

Anyway, here's a few pics that survived yet another dunking of the disposable camera. The rest of the photos have nasty red spots all over them, but my digital is still dry! Maybe i can clean a few up and post 'em later.

Thanks for reminding us theres still trout out there Sero.. .....things are getting very slow on the board lately ...must be those lazy ,hazy ,crazy days of summer......I am loosing alittle desire to go out after them as of late ,trying to finish a list of summer chores before my time of year approaches....fall and beyond!!!!! I`ll still try to sneak a few trips in ...especially when cool fronts swing through....my brother is probably planning another outing as we speak.... Hes a mean fishing machine as of lately....

Took a stimulator on a slow skitter-swing... on what was probably the last day of that "moth hatch".

A.M. Intermittent risers. Many more caddis than moths, but i couldn't buy a strike; fished a couple different caddis dries... even w/larva and emerger droppers. Witnessed only about six moths, and four of 'em got creamed. Even fewer risers now. That's it! Create your own hatch.
Switched to the biggest stimulator i had... about a size 8. Second cast w/that ridiculous bug and i was immediately into a fish; bigger than the one in the photo. Lost him. Broke me off. What a slob! So... I tied on the very same fly and one minute later, it got smacked by another slob. Lost that fish too. I suppose the moral of the story is 'Don't fish size 8 Stimulators on 5X to aggressive slob-trout who don't know how to sip a fly'... or 'Learn how to hook and play a fish, Steve'.

My buddy looks upstream wondering what the hell is going on. All i said was 'Stimulator. Big Stimulator. The Biggest you got. Don't use 5X'. 120 seconds later... he's into the fish you see above. Ten minutes later he's in the net. That fish is bigger (and prettier!) than it looks... My buddy's a big guy.

So what are these 'moths' anyway?

I couldn't catch one, marzrw.

Two other friends caught one the previous day. They had to use a (big) net.
R (who originally thought they were Caddis), says it's a Moth.
M, says it's a Caddis.
I say it's a Stimulator!

Who knows...?
Whatever it is... it's big. (And the fish wanted them... badly).
Might be the same thing you photographed...
