Battenkill

I know afew of you are going to the Battenkill Saturday, I just checked the stream guage and it's almost 1000. Maybe go above that soon. This flow is fishable towards VT but it pushes alot of water and below shushan the current gets REAL strong at this flow. I like it a bit more like 500 and down for fly fishing. So check it out before you guys go and you may want to spend an extra day on the ponds. Just an opinion

I just got home and the Schroon is running high but clear. Probably fish the ponds like you said, maybe the Ingin is a possibility.

You guys sure love the Indian don't you. I used to fish it quite a bit years ago. One year I took every Friday in June off. Got up at 2:45am to be on river by 4am. Couldn't beat the hatch and fishing. If I recall I used to catch 12-20 trout. It was awesome.

Where did you take your last water temp reading? I am heading up there tomorrow and want to compare temps after the daluge last night.

Still over 75 degrees as of 8 am Friday morning. I'd be curious to see the temp after that little crik comes in down by the Square Rock Pool or to see how accurate the temp guage is. Still loks at a good level though. Good Luck, let me know I may be there Sunday
