Oh yeah...gotta love the Weizenbier.....light, refreshing, and popping with spicy clovelike and bananalike aroma and flavor from the special Weihenstephan Weizen yeast......I brewed mine back in the early spring, and its prime for consumption right about now.
This "Hex Brew" I'm doing up this week is also a wheat malt beer but it will be dark and hoppy like an old english style ale....this is my tribute to the Hexagenia limbata...may we all be lucky enough to get out and night fish this hatch for an angling experience to remember!! -

"Hammer the Hex"...is that the Hex Hatch, or the Hex Ale....because the Hex Hatch should be happening this coming week...but the Hex Ale won't be ready for about 2.5 months (1 week 1st fermentation, then cold conditioned in the beer cellar for 5 weeks, then bottle aged to perfection for 4 weeks). However, I DO have other brews ready.....Polar Pilsner (a hopped up pilsner), Ice Out Ale (crisp and clean, like the water of an ice out pond), Brown Trout Maple Stout (not just a breakfast drink anymore!), Ausable Amber (amber ale, hopped to perfection), Mid Winters Thaw (Scotish dark ale), UB 40 (my special birthday brew...yes I'll be 40 this July!!!! Yikes), and of course Bullwheatale (my hefe weizen named after the moose that suprised me while fishing a beaver pond this past spring).Comment

Nessmuk,
Just a wee bit curious, is there any type of ale thet you DO NOT brew? I mean sounds pretty much like I'm sitting down at my local brew pubs trying to decide what pint I want tonight.
Never fished a Hex hatch but have seen the buggers on 13th Lake. They are huge. Never hit a hatch of them."The way I see it, you're hooked.Trout have you. Another soul lost." Elias Wonder, The Earth is Enough by Harry MiddletonComment

I'm one of those brewers that have one of those "Beeriodic Table" Tee shirts. Its basically set up like the the Periodic Table, but with all the different kinds of beer in the world complete with the alcohol content, specific gravity, etc....I have to brew them all....variety is the spice of life! OK...I'll say it...I'm a beer and entomology geek....I know its a strange mix but it works for me!
On a more serious note the dumpster arrived at 2 today...so its all work and no fishing for Mary Beth for at least 1 more day. I plan to hit the streams and/or lakes starting Sunday....that is until dumpster #2 arrives....why did I plan a demolition project on my vacation????? Why!!!!Comment

Maybe we all can set up a time and place to meet up with each other and have a beer or two or three.......could even make it a sleep over campout type thing.and maybe wet a line too!!!!!
Any more ideas????
WB"Get your mind off trout,if you can.I know they`ve got you.I can see it. Every fraternity of sufferers knows its brothers.Trout hook men;men don`t hook trout.Better try and throw the hook while you can.By the time you`re a grown man there probably won`t be a pure trout healthy enough to fiddle with"... Sounds good WB!
A 'central' location might be easiest for most people.
A place w/Cold running water would be nice. Maybe a pond or two for those of that persuasion.
Sacco, whatta ya think? An easy get-together overnite locale, w/good fishing nearby...? GBS probably has the scoop on some fish activity, and i'm sure that pondhopper, ness, ken, marzrw, and others have some good ideas too!
C'mon! Chime in ...!
