    Hexes Yet?`

Hello, New to the site and deciding whether to fish a few different places this Saturday. Are there Hexes on 13th Yet?

    Thanks
I'll find 'im for 3...but I'll catch 'im, and kill 'im for 10

    Hi Shaq,

Welcome to the best board on hiking ,fishing ,etc in the beautiful playground of the Adk`s.........

    I wish I could help you w/ the Hexagenia hatch on 13th lake.But, unfortunately,I don`t hunt hatches that well.As a matter of fact,this is the 3rd season,I have`nt hit any hatches anywhere.I`m 99.9% sub-surface.At least for now.

Although ,if you be patient,we have quite a bunch of well-seasoned talented fly addicts on this board that could probably help you with some info.It might not be exactly the 13th lake area but maybe somewheres in that area.

    Welcome and Good luck ,

    Tightlines....

        Not Yet

        Shaq,

        Welcome!!

Well a few Hexs are starting to come off but nothing major. I was there with my kids night before last and only saw a couple come off. Im sure it will happen next Monday the 27th and be over on the 30th. (Ill be in Fl. Mon-Thurs). If I do here anything I will let you know, cause if they are poppin on 13th, Peakid & Hour will be a few days behind. There is a case of beer and 100 lbs of home-made sausage with my name on it when I catch that 5lb 8oz Speck! I intend to collect too.

I'm hoping the Hex Hatch will happen this coming week because as of last night I am officially on VACATION! I love fishing the Hex hatch....they are HUGE flies, but its sometimes hard to hit it just right. Its fun to be out on the water hearing a large slurp here, and then a large slurp over there while you sit in your float tube or boat bobbing around in the darkness! If I see any in the lakes/ponds this week I'll give you folks a holler!

Oh...sometime this week I'm going to brew up a batch of beer....I think I shall call it "Hex Ale" in honor of the hatch!
