    bloper82,

On the stocking sheets from Encon(this years) they stock Cascade w/brookies and Stephens Pond w/browns.Never fished these two ponds, but... at one-time I had my eye on them.My brother and I almost made a trip in to them.Heard good things about them.

There is also Upper and Lower Sageants ponds alittle Northwest of there that I also heard were productive. But,you have to get there before some locals fish `em out.At least thats what I was told once.Hope this helps alittle.

Also, Sprague is supposed to have some nice browns.

"Get your mind off trout,if you can.I know they`ve got you.I can see it. Every fraternity of sufferers knows its brothers.Trout hook men;men don`t hook trout.Better try and throw the hook while you can.By the time you`re a grown man there probably won`t be a pure trout healthy enough to fiddle with"... Stephens had both brookies & browns in the last time I was there. Cascade is ok. Upper Sargents has bass in it too. Didn't realize that it was locals flying into Lower Sargents all these years........but, DEC people say that fishing pressure is the reason that some of the trout grow so big....otherwise they'd soon overpopulate and thus, be smaller sized fish ; largemouths were illegally introduced into it a couple of years ago. But, the bass haven't become a problem, yet.

...I don't know about fishing Lower Sargents out...I used to worry about that myself...but the place always seems to produce 3lb + Trout...the Bass could be a problem...
