great day fishing, no trout, no worries (pic's)

had a great day today fishing one of my favorite creeks. on the way there i saw 3 deer, 2 nice bucks and a doe standing in the water on the bottom half of the creek i was about to fish, awesome sight but to slow getting my camera! caught about 1,000,000 shiners!!!! was an incediable hatch of stoneflys, or that is what i believe they are called? there was a TON of them clinging to the sides of the wall under a bridge i was fishing. iwas a neat sight! also about steped on a SMALL spotted fawn who ran away on wobbly legs, felt bad for scaring her. didn't catch any trout but had a wonderfull day with all the sights and sounds. here are some pic's.

longbows, flintlocks, trapping, and fly rods, its not just what i do its who i am!!

not all those who wander are lost!

That's a nice batch of stoneflies!

Besides horse-flies and moths, i saw very few bugs at the water today.
There was one lady-bug, and something called a protocoldroid.

      yep, stoneflies.

they have two tails, most mayfly nymphs have 3.

they also crawl out of the water like that to hatch, rather than swim up like mayflies do.

nice pics ken, looks like a nice little run.
