Any good hikes for pike / panfish

Can anyone recommend a good hike and/or somewhat remote camping area where one can score some pike, bass, and panfish?

For panfish try Pharaoh Lake. I have pulled some monster sunnies out of there. I have been told(but have never confirmed) that there are pike and bass in Berrymill Pond.

Also, if you hike the NPT along Long Lake you can catch pike, bass and sunfish from shore but you will see/hear motorboats.

gee i dunno. if you're talking real back country remote camping, i've always tried to avoid any warmwater fisheries.

if the camping does not have to be as remote then most major lakes like indian, raquette, long lake, piseco, tupper have what your lookin for.

long lake is suppose to be one of the best pike fishin lakes in the ADKs, but i've never had much luck. the big marshy bay on the west side about half way up the lake is one of the better spots for big'uns in the morning.

the outlet of long lake (raquette river) is pretty good and is about as remote as i know of for decent pike/bass fishing. (though you'll still see people every weekend in the summer)

another lake of interest for you might be durrant. it's not remote, but if you're into warmwater species, it's one of the few lakes stocked with tiger muskie.

Thanks for the info. I'm not necessarily wedded to those fish, although pike is my favorite, but I'd like to hike / camp someplace where someone can reasonably expect to get some fish for a meal or two. I've hiked along / near the NPT twice with no luck. Cold river yielded no fish, and Duck hole a few weeks ago yielded no fish. Not conclusive I know, although I read that Duck Hole was considered "acid threatened".

Disclaimer: I am an avid and experienced fisherman except for fly fishing.

have you fished the west canada lakes region much?

i've never had any spectacular days in the region, but it's one of the VERY FEW areas i can say i've never been skunked - which is saying something!
