  • Adirondack Fly Tying Series DVD

Many of you probably already know about these tutorials but for those intrested in tying their own flies, this disc has some nice tutorials on it.
The Adirondack Sport Shop lists the tutorials as multiple series and on VHS at their site; I am not sure why they have not changed it to DVDs.
Click here and scroll to bottom of the page.
They have put five of the tutorials on one DVD and each are about eight minutes long.
Just ask for the "Adirondack Fly Tying Series" on DVD.
Since it is not listed on their website it is hard to order it there.
Phoning their shop is hit or miss but keep calling or leave a message for Jan and she will call you back.
It is as if you are sitting next to Fran and watching him tie flies.
Here are the flies that he teaches you to tie.
The Ausable Bomber, The Ausable Caddis, The Ausable Wulff, The Haystack and The Usual.

While not a DVD, here's a site with some really good free illustrations of how to tie flies. Pay particular attention to the ones submitted by "flyguy". He is a super fly tyer, fisherman, and guide. http://www.salmoncrazy.com/vforums/f...Tying-Recipies

Glad I could help. They probably could use the business with winter coming!
