Me and my buddy fished that entire area Friday and Saturday and caught only one sucker. The amount of miles I put on the truck trying to find a fish it probably worked out to $30.00/lb

Ken, Yours are up there to my boy, for sure, maybe not a state record, but very large indeed.

Well, that's what Al Schiavone (sp?) and the rest were saying at Region 6 Headquarters in Watertown. Didn't I mention that in our PMs ? Must've forgot

PS- Thanks for the off-handed compliment, Mars!

                yeah...you forgot to mention that...

                Congratulations!

I heard you had an issue with the way the papers were filled out. .52 oz instead of .52 lbs...

Glad you got things worked out.

What fly did you catch it on?

I do have to apologize for the off-hand compliment, so here is an official heartfelt congratulations from WB and me. :headbang:

If anyone deserves it, it is you who have been dedicated to fishing every pond in the world, or at least in the ADK and for so unselfishly sharing limitless knowledge to others.

PS - I bet Sero wishes he was there when you caught that marvelous fish.

Thank you - everyone. Ken, I didn't hear about any paperwork trouble....but- knowing the DEC, I'm not too surprised....digital scales can be difficult, esp. between 2 different regions (5 & 6). Ummm, I've already shared my "secret hackle" with you in our PMs.....shhhh, mum's the word

So, how long did you have to fight that brute to get him in? He surely must not have wanted you to land him. The 4- 14" brookies we caught fought like h_ll, twisting and turning like a brookie does, can't imagine what that guy tried to do.

By the looks of that monster brookie ,it probably gave Pondhopper a ride around the pond like a trolling motor.Look at the shoulders on that brutus.

Is that a native brookie or was it stocked along long time ago??I have a hard time figuring that out when they get that big.

                          That's a safe bet.

You two would have looked awful funny piled into that little Blackjack

...Add that fish and it would have been time for the doggie paddle...
