Algonquin Park
Crower 3,
Theres a good book at Amazon.com titled,"Brook trout and Blackflies:A paddlers Guide to Algonquin Park"by Kevin Callan.I do not know if it mentions a bunch of bodies of water for to fish, but it is supposed to be well written.Do some searches through yahoo/google for Algonquin Park. This park sounds like the brook trout capital of the world!!!!

Ken999,
I wish I could. But,unfortunately ,I`ll have to wait til my daughter has the time.I`m hopelessly illiterate when it comes to computers. maybe I can get some coaching from one of you guys. She helps me with stuff like that.Thats why I never posted any pics before. She did the avitar for me.The pic is of my biggest brown trout on a fly rod.It measured 28".But,it was out of a trib. of L.Ontario.
Sorry,I probably won`t get it enlarged until saturday after gymnastics(6pm).

Thanks Kevin,
If you think that guy is big, my brother-in-law hooked and I netted his 31" brown for him the day after I landed that one in the picture. Most of them average around 24".But, like I said they are lake run browns.Their colors are very similar to our stream brownies but they are lacking the original red dots.Tightlines!!!

I know some people who used to do an annual trip to "Nadine". I think it's located near the center of the northern half of the park. It was off the beaten path and so, they seldom had visitors. 3-5 lb. "Reds" (brooktrout) were the rule. But, I think those weights are common thru-out the park.--"Pete You***?!, Pete You***'s grandson?!...That name is nearly sacred & uttered with awe in THIS house!" : The late Dr. Reed's wife, upon entering her house & being introduced- so to converse with her husband about the old days, a little before he died.
