I've been wondering.... what kind of extra equipment does it take to wade in the super cold water?
I honestly just don't know anything about it... is it as simple as doubling up on wool socks and using some thermal underwear and sweatpants? I have "soft foot" neoprene waders (I think 3.5mm thick), and the last time I went fishing (first week of november) my feet were freezing after a couple hours out.
"ya gotta get a better view outside, cause you'll burn right up inside, through the knowledge fools get the mileage, birds eye view, catch all this" -del
Well I'd rather kayak on the Salmon. I know we bother some of the fishermen, but mostly it's all good. I haven't been out lately, but my brother has catching Browns and steelheads right off of leto Island.
I believe that the first person to utter that phrase was Dylan Thomas,
Gotcha, I sensed it may have been from somewhere else but haven't had the pleasure of reading much Dylan Thomas back in my engrish lit days.
Now that I'm a music junky the whole world revolves around song references and such... or does the music revolve around world references? I'm so confused. :headbang:
Creekwader- Get better soon. Maybe the water will warm a few degrees when you're ready to go again. The fishin' will only get better then.

Scott-
The fishin' was a little slow, for everyone... creel surveyors confirmed that.
I'll post some pics when the roll is finished.
The best fish were lost, only a rod's length away ... pushin' 10 lbs.
My friend who joined me yesterday will be drift-boatin' it this weekend.
Maybe he can unlock the key to the Mystery Fish.
Steelhead confuse me.
Very crisp and sunny most of the day. I think that most of our fish were hooked when it was snowing. I also wonder if the full moon played any role.
Edit: Next time I go for Steel, I'll do it when it's Starless.
