Can anyone verify if there is cell service on the last section of the NPT? If yes, where about could I get a signal?

Hopefully others will chime in but I've heard tales about service being available at Kellys Point and also Plumleys. My guess is you'll receive more definitive answers pretty soon.

That's all for now. Take care and until next time....be well.

I've picked up a Verizon signal at Plumley's and Shattuck Clearing.
Even better signal strength when I checked in using a pre-paid Trac Phone.

Thanks, guys, the thing is I will need to call out ahead to have my ride waiting for me at Averyville Rd. I have a Trac and a Verizon flip phone, so, that is equally good news.

          That's just wrong.

It's a sad day when you can get a cell phone signal in one of the Lower 48's most remote spots.

I don't think I've ever checked for service at Averyville Road, but in any case if you just start walking towards Lake Placid you'll get service soon enough.

If I had some more time to be in the High Peaks I would continue onto John Brooks Lodge and do the loop over Upper Wolf Jaw, Armstrong, and Gothics. Or even Big Slide and Yard.

I just hiked a couple of miles at the Averyville end and somewhere along there I got the ubiquitous call from the Dealer Service Center, so I guess that means there's Verizon service along there.
