Winter almost over (and what have you done?)

January is drawing to a close. February is a short month. The business portion of March ends on the 21st. In light of a thread entitled "Psyched for winter peakbagging" now is a good time to take stock.

So far, I've only done 4 peaks on as many outings. (Redfield, Phelps, Colvin, Blake and a missed attempt on Allen). Seems like my signature is proving true!
On Saturday we'll be doing Noonmark. (Hey Mavs! A winter hundred highest)

    Anybody else?

Almost over?? We still got 2 months!!

So far I've only done Giant and Noonmark but I have big plans for the upcoming weeks. Marcy, Big Slide, Colden are all in the works. I'm hoping to also do Dix and part or all of the Great Range by the end of the winter.

This long distance affair I have with the High Peaks is tough
        Wow! That is some commute.

I have climbed Donaldson/Emmons, Donaldson/Seward, Redfield, Algonquin/Iroquois, in the high peaks.
Spruce Mt. and Hadley in Southern adirondacks.
And North Dome, Vly, and Bearpen, in the Catskills.

I've only bagged street, nye, redfield, cascade and porter. My job is starting to give me a headache...there might be a few more in there, but I'm cold right now from walking my dog.

I've accomplished a lot this winter.

No disappointments because I don't have a list to drive me.

What kind of a sorry excuse of an American ARE you, anyway?

Noonmark wasn't technically winter though it was in winter conditions, Giant and Macomb.

Marcy this Sunday, Big Slide the next. In between, depending on how quickly I recover, I may end up with a few weekday hikes.

Wow, those are serious peaks. And you drive from Chicago!

Bagged Marcy, Phelps, Cascade and Porter. 1 Trip, 3 summit days 4 peaks. Doesn't get much better than that. Feb's hike is going to be in NH. March is an "off" month.
