We may be attacking the Dix Range and are thinking of planning an exit through the LB Valley. Has anyone tried it recently and by that I mean since the snow finally departed. We had a great climb up the Great Slide of EastD two seeks ago and want to repeat the beautiful woods walk but on the other side of the Range. Any news would be appreciated.

I just did the Dix range last week, Lilian Brook was flowing pretty strong after the storms. The bridge needs some work, as the hand-rail is so wobbly I wouldn't touch it. I don't know if it was the rain or bad water management, but 1/2 the trail up to the first leanto was flooded and underneath was a thick, deep mud.
