Plans to hike Big Slide, Giant and Rocky Ridge

If all goes to plan and I get the majority of my school work done, I should be out in the peaks for some hiking. I plan on doing Big Slide then heading over to do Giant and Rocky Ridge. Who has been up these lately or any other high peaks? How are the conditions out there. Are snow depths still high? I'm expecting that the peaks should get some snow this weekend from Friday to Saturday. Sunday I plan on hiking. High 40's and clear skies looks like a perfect day! I plan on bringing my snowshoes but and not sure about the crampons? I'm not sure if I'll need them (maybe for the three brothers heading up big slide?) If anyone has been up into the high peaks lately, let me know what type of conditions I could expect.

The ASTC website is reporting 6+ feet of snow at 4,000 ft as of 4/2. So, yes -- the snow levels are still very high.

That information is very interesting. What is the ASTC website? I would love to be able to check snow levels for the Adirondacks area. Thanks...!

Yes, snowshoes will be needed....maybe crampons, I would bring them for sure. Above 4,000 feet, expect AT LEAST 6 feet of snow pack. Snowshoes will be needed until mid may this year in the high peaks above 3,500. Huge snow pack this year compared to the few years past.
