im thinking of skiing nippletop slide within the near future. I was wondering what the best (most accessible) approach was. also would crampons be needed? thanks for any info.

To ski it? the best approach is a broken trail to the top on Nippletop of course. It's a 5 minute walk from there. I'd be careful. It's an avalanche waiting to happen.

Actually, the best approach for a ski of this slide, is the slide itself. Why go over the summit? Plus it is best to see the conditions of the snow on the slide before you ski it.

I agree with Alex, the best way would be from the drainage from the bottom of the slide. Always a good idea to get a look at what you are about to ski. Crampons and an ice axe would also be a great idea (very steep slide).

Conditions are ripe for skiing this weekend. I hope to see some trip reports next week. Be safe out there and take photos please!
