You could have joined me climbing Allen today .

In a few weeks I'll be more free to wander aimlessly through the d'acks, but until then I'm bound to the high peaks to finish my last 2 of the 46...

Theres all kinds of stuff going on and all kinds of people to go with.

Post and ask for an invitaion somewhere or pick a hike you know and ask for company

My problem is there is too much going on.

Join a day hike first. Most of us like to meet someone for a dy hike before an overnighter.

Too bad you missed my post looking for a partner. We did Bennie Brook slide on Sat. and Bushwhacked up to Wright Slide on Sun. then contunued across the Range over to Marshall. Check out the Events Planning Section, there's usually something happening. BTW, do you play hockey??

I was on top of Basin just yesturday and there was a small, yet very noticable, river of pure frozen ice near the summit on the north (non-sun) side.

              It's close, people, real close

                  Yeah, Ashton.
I glanced at your reply to your disappearing thread one morning, then went to reply that night and it was gone. Ummm....That was MIGHTY nice of you to have dinner waiting for me that day. I came back the same way. Your friendly ol' dog came out to greet me, but you weren't around. I thought that you were hinting that you two wanted to be alone...so, I proceeded on.

Send me a PM or e-mail and I'll tell you how to go in via the Bear Pond Road. Maybe, we can set something up before the snow comes- where I'll personally show you 2 ways to go in (make a loop or something).

Brrrrrr, winter camping! I did just get a Marmot "helium eq" and a Cabelas bivy sack that I field tested at the same lake that I met you. Oct 10, rained all night and I was "snug as a bug in a rug". Wouldn't ya know, the one time in my life that I planned on an empty lean-to and 7 people were there. I went down to the old campsite on the west side of the lake. Good thing, cause I heard em' hollering at a bear in the middle of the night.

BTW- no offense and just kidding: you didn't SOUND French-Canadien when I talked to you. like your writing style would seem to indicate.
