Lake George area snow

Hey all, is there anyone in the lake George area that can tell me the snow conditions there? I am in buffalo and we had a big melt this week. It looked like a warm up in that area as well. This post is last minute, but I am planning on heading out tomorrow to hike into Lapland pond/ black mountain for a few days. I am planning on pulling a pulk and am wondering if the snow conditions are favorable for that? Any info would be appreciated. My back up would be to hike up along long lake for the few days, it looks like its colder there.

Snow is a little soft now, but plenty still around. Snowmobile and foot traffic should have the Lapland trail packed down pretty good. Lakes are still pretty solid, except near the inlet/outlet. More snow forecast for Friday the 20th, so that might be good. Have fun! 👍

thanks tick! I saw your reply on my way out, but couldn't respond. I spent 2 nights at Lapland pond. You were right on all accounts. The snowmobiles had the trail packed down nicely. Got about 8 inches of snow yesterday. I got lucky and the DEC was helping Lean2rescue get supplies in, so they packed down the fresh snow for my walk out! Thanks again for the info.
