Parking at South Meadow

How much parking is there at South Meadow? I'd like to hike this weekend to JBL via the Klondike Trail. Don't want to pay to park at the Garden or at the Loj. Is there a limit for the # of cars at South Meadow ? Does the parking fill up fast. Thanks!

The lot itself probably holds 10-12 cars, but people park on the side of the road too. I don't think that they ticket cars for parking on the road. I can't say how fast it fills up normally, but I've parked there on at 10am on a Sunday in September without a problem.
