Bushwack from Nippletop slide to Elk Pass?

Doing a little "mapping" and I was wondering how difficult the bushwack is from Nippletop slide to Elk Pass. Is it extremely dense, blowdowns, is there an actual faint foot-trail or is it a 100% bushwack?
I will actually be coming down the slide then bushwacking to Elk Pass, how hard will it be coming down the slide while wearing a 40 pound pack. I'm in great shape but gravity ALWAYS wins.

    Huh?

You're going to DESCEND the Nippletop Slide with a 40 lb pack. THEN you're going to ASCEND the drainage to Elk Pass.

    Have I got that right?
Well, the whack from the base of the slide to Elk Pass is nothing. Easy whacking with many interlaced embryonic herd trails. Don't get too far from the drainage and you'll be fine.

Uh, when you get to the bottom of the Nip slide, turn right.

    What else you got planned?

I wouldn't DESCEND that slide for nothing in this world!
      Are you CRAZY!
In my opinion that baby gem is way to steep and dangerous going up it, let alone down it!

Actually, with the new sticky soles on approach shoes there may not be too much of a problem geting down the slide.
Just one thing, Deepforest: The very top of the slide(after you will have whacked from the summit to that point for about 10-15 minutes) is very, very steep and is not a slide at all but rather it is a narrow bit of slightly tricky rock climbing for those that ascend. Maybe you will be happy to have a 50 foot length of rope to loop around a tree....
