Condition Info for Lake George Region.

Hello, Does anyone know how much snow they have around Lake George? We are thinking about a quick jaunt up to Black Mountain tomorrow to do some snowshoeing but we are not sure if they would have enough snow. Down here just north of Albany we only have the snow we got last evening, about 4 inches. Thanks for any help!

Stimach, I haven't been that region in several weeks, but we are planning to be there this coming weekend. Please post your experience on the forum when you return. Thanks.

My guess is you will need the shoes there is about six inches on the ground in the area. It varies from place to place but you are gaining better than 2000 feet from the lake, 1000 plus from the Whitehall side. Most likely it is in the in between area. If the trail is packed out then you may be able to bare boot it. Bring the shoes you will likely need them.
