    Winter 46th Dates ??????

I have seen in threads and on read on the official forty-sixers site that the winter peaks must be climbed from Dec 21st to Mar 21st but looking at a calender for the past years the days change for the first day of winter and the first day of spring.

    2002 - Dec 22nd winter begins and 2003 - Mar 21th spring begins
    2003 - Dec 22nd winter begins and 2004 - Mar 20th spring begins
    2004 - Dec 21st winter begins and 2005 - Mar 20th spring begins
    2005 - Dec 21st winter begins and 2006 - Mar 20th spring begins
    2006 - Dec 22nd winter begins and 2007 - Mar 21st spring begins

    What is the official rule?

Does it include the first day of spring or does it ended at midnight the day before?

If this has been discussed before then please point me to the thread.

Web site is accurate - official days are December 21st - March 21st including those 2 days, regardless of the actual first day of winter and spring.

            Neil,
The reason I was asking is because I have one peak left for my original 46th which is Haystack. If it counts for both I will wait and climb it after Dec 21st.

Here is my list of winter peaks climbed:
            Cascade Mtn.
            Porter Mtn.
            Giant Mtn.
            Rocky Peak Ridge
            Big Slide Mtn.
            Macomb Mtn.
            Mt. Colden
            Tabletop Mtn.
            Phelps Mtn.
            Mt. Marshall
            Lower Wolfjaw
            Upper Wolfjaw
            Sawteeth
            Gothics
            Armstrong Mtn.
            Cliff Mtn.

Yes you can. If you had climbed them all in Winter for the first time (round), you would get the Winter Rocker and the Summer Patch.
You will love Haystack in Winter. It is quite a challenge! Have Fun.
