Hiked up Baxter mountain Sept. 19 from route 9n in Keene. Short hike with some nice views.

Thanks, It was a nice day. Plan on doing Cascade and Porter in mid OCT. Was going to Algonquin but don't think certain party members are going to be able to do it. I don't like not finishing a hike. Tried Dix 02 but group members walked to slow in the easy part of the hike so we weren't going to make it and had to turn back. Don't want to do that again so i will do Cascade and Porter with them this year and made get Algonquin done too at the end of Oct.

Feel free to check out my other photos Iv'e done Hurricane, Giant, Baxter, and tried Dix.

        Nice Photos

Baxter is a true gem. It's an easy hike in all four seasons with a view just as good as many of the 4000 footers. You get the most bang for your buck with Baxter.

The only bad thing is some @#*& built an obnoxious house on the side of Tripod Mt. directly across from the summit.

I can only wonder how much he bribed the APA to be allowed to build at that location.
