Has anyone out there hiked up to the Moose River Cliffs on Mitchell Ponds Mountain in the Moose River Plains Recreation Area? I was admiring them from Beaver Lake and thought the view from up there has to be fantastic!

You are assuming correctly- I hiked up there several years back and the view is superb across Beaver Lake and west into the Red River country. Cliffs are fairly easily reached by bushwack from the first Mitchell Pond.Ahh............Wilderness....... -
Yes, definitely an easy bushwhack. I hiked around the first pond and then somewhere near the peninsula between the two ponds hiked due south and came out right at the opening. Nice open woods. I've got some pictures somewhere...Comment
