Since I come from so far away (Long Island), i need to plan trips pretty far in advance. I planned a trip for Thursday thru Saturday or Sunday this week. The forecast for Thursday is 'showers' -- but I'm not sure what that means up there.
Being that I'm going to be doing a lot of photography this trip, being overcast and possibly wet will give me slightly better light for during the day.
Can anyone shed some light as to what this could mean? [or does it just mean that I'm going to get wet?]

. The mountains ring out any moisture in the air, so if there's any instability they usually add enough lift to form larger clouds, increasing chances of rain. The precip also seems to be harder up there for the same reasons.
