This has probably been spoken about before, but I couldn't find anything in my search. What are some really good websites for info and maps of the 46ers. Im really interested in the maps and trail heads and routes.

There are several websites with various kinds of info (including of course our sister website ADKHighpeaks, which is one of the best).
But by far the best single resource for info, maps, routes and trailheads is the Adirondack Mountain Club's High Peaks Region Guidebook. It's all we ever needed, long before there was even a web to look at. Nowadays, websites are great for current conditions, trip reports, pictures, and people's impressions, but again by far the best and most comprehensive baseline information is in the guidebook.

While you are looking into info resources, don't overlook the Discover the Adirondacks series of guidebooks. The High Peaks edition gives a slightly different slant than the ADK guide, and also offers interesting and unique historical bits of knowledge that you might not otherwise discover. Of course there is far more to the Adirondacks than the High Peaks, and the Discover series of 11 guidebooks covers the entire Adirondack region."Now I see the secret of making the best person, it is to grow in the open air and to eat and sleep with the earth." -Walt Whitman

All I used until I found the forums was the ADK trail map. It lived on my kitchen table.
I have the two guide books for the High Peaks but I never read them much, excellent resources that they are.The best, the most successful adventurer, is the one having the most fun.

but One of the members of the High peaks forums started a handy site called Adirondack Bucket List.
Check it out. It has directions to most all the trail heads and has waypoints!
http://adkbucketlist.com/ The Adirondack Bucket List (ABL) is a site that allows users to track their Adirondack life goals by creating a bucket list of goals and checking them off their list as they complete them. Adirondack achievements are best shared, and with ABL you can easily share your list and completed goals“Sometimes when you lose your way, you find YOURSELF.”
