At least one mistake in that article. It mentions that the dam was built in the 40's. It is true that A dam was built in the 40's, but the existing dam was built in either the very late 60's or early 070's. The original dam was all logs, no finished wood. It was also much nicer to look at. As the water went over the dam to the first level, it was logs running parallel to the dam, and water would run off it in waves. The second level had logs perpendicular, and it would go over in lines.

They don't always get all the facts correct.Thanks for pointing out the correct date. I'm afraid this is going to take away money from some other programs or projects.
