I'm going to be in the southern/central adirondacks with my family at the end of next week. Does anyone have any suggestions for a relatively short hike with some kind of 'destination' at the end (like a waterfall or a lake or a pond)? Something in the 4 to 5 mile range would be good. (I;ll be down near Warrensburg/Warrensville?).
Southern/Central Trail suggestions?

A loop hike over Crane mountain (near Thurman) is around 4-5 miles.

Thanks everyone. I'll check my maps to see what they can all deal with -- the rest of the clan doesnt have the mountain goat in them like i do.Kurt Tietjen
