  • Gothics hike

Yesterday I hiked Gothics for the first time via the Weld trail and looped back on the Beaver Meadows falls trail....what an absolutely amazing hike. Probably one of the best I've done. I would recommend it for anyone that is thinking about bagging a peak. Definitely well worth the time!

It's a great trek. Nice pics!

Seeking grace in every step he takes
His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake" -John Denver

I had just done Gothics two days prior, on the 25th! It was actually my first ADK peak in ~15 years. The view on top was so nice, and it had been so long, I almost cried. I got to say looks like your trail up was nicer, I came up the Range Trail, after setting up basecamp at the Ore Bed lean-to campsite. I'd surely like to go back to it someday, and try the trail you took. Can't remember if I had hiked Sawteeth as a kid, so might have to hike that again anyhow on my quest for the 46.

I'm going to do a quick trip report post once I get my pics all edited and uploaded.
