Coreys road

We went in on 5/19/05, and came out 5/22/05, and the gate was open. Also, the Dec. has cleared all the blowdowns all the way to Duck Hole.Excellent trip with relarively NO blackflies, and the brooktrout at Duck Hole cooperated in a really tasty trout dinner one night.

i was hoping to be on the trail in that area myself this weekend. i was hoping to get to meet some of you, but i have no way of getting up there, so it's not really gonna work out but i'm hoping to get up in the Dacks next weekend and do a nice 25 mile loop around the cold river/NPT/Duck Hole area via Coreys Rd. maybe i'll get to see someone. i guess only time can tell. well anyways, thanx for the info.

That's a negative - we'll be hiking in via Upper Works. Tomorrow actually, sometime in the afternoon.

this question has probably already been answered, but the last time i read the DEC dealy it wasnt really well defined as to if it was closed or open. so is coreys road open during the summer, cuz the map just says its closed during the winter but i wanna make sure before i get to the road and have to end up having to walk it. thanx.
