Noonmark from SE via Felix Adler Trail...with a dog?

I'd like to climb Noonmark via the Stimson Trail (not felix adler). I always hike with my dogs and i've already done Noonmark via round pond. The map shows this route crossing Ausable club property, so i would not normally think about bringing the dogs, but this route is well before the gate and the "no dog" signs.

Does anyone know if this route is governed the same as the other trails? is the map accurate, is this Ausable club property?

The golf course loop road must be a public road, so I'm sure i can stroll down the road, but what about the short 0.5 mile stretch south towards Noonmark?

I'm not looking for trouble, so if anyone knows for sure, please inform me...there are plenty of other trails.

Actually no problem with dogs on the Stimson Trail. The first half mile is private property, but not AMR property, and even before the 1978 land sale when this was AMR property dogs were allowed. You might want to keep the dog on a leash until you are past the private houses on the driveway at the beginning.
Every time that wheel turns round, bound to measure just a little more ground.

While at the AMR hikers' parking area recently I listened to a conversation between a ranger and a couple with a dog. The ranger clearly said that both Round Mtn and Noonmark are OKAY for a dog.

I've been up Round Mountain from the same side and I know that dogs are allowed up both Round and Noonmark that way. I took my dog up Round via the Weston trail and then came out through the pass between it and Noonmark, coming out at the same spot where the Stimson trail starts. It was certainly a nice loop hike and not very tough for the dog, though there are a couple steep ledges. I haven't been up Noonmark yet.

Thanks for all the help. I called the Ausable club last Friday and politely asked about this trail and dogs. The woman who answered the phone did not know, so she put me on hold. After waiting a minute, she responded with "that is forbidden". I asked if she understood my question and she said "Yes", then hung up.

I'm glad i have this forum, they weren't much help.

I used to think this was the case, but my last trip it occurred to me it wasn't as I had noticed the club land didn't start till later.

Thanks for confirming this. The round pond route is nice, afterall my dog loves to swim, but I'd like another winter/cold weather option for on my favorite non high peak.

Plus, it would be more conenient for loop hikes including the other peaks nearby.

BTW, I assume tgoodwin is Tony Goodwin, I'm fairly certain if it is you realize he is to Adirondack hiking/skiing trails what Don Mellor is to rock and ice routes.

Tony, how is the long distance trail coming along? That looked like a hell of an idea, and one that had this hiker very excited!!!
