Another new Hiker

Hi everyone

Just wanted to say all the information thats here is wonderful along with the colorfull stories of past hikes. I really enjoy reading them as well im sure i will be posting more asap.

First a little about my self im 23 and havent hiked since i was a boy scout and my freinds took me up to balf face this summer and i have been slowly getting back into hiking and hopefully i will try to start my 46 in the summer but for this winter i think i will try to hit some lean to's on the northville placid trail.

In that case, I recommend joining the Iroquois Chapter of ADK, if you haven't already. We're a friendly bunch, and it's good place to make contacts with like-minded people in our area.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but I'm also interested in joining the ADK. I'm in North Jersey, just outside NYC and I'm wondering how active the North Jersey chapter is.

Welcome t the forum. I drive through Utica quite a bit on my way to the Dacks (depending of course on where I go).
