Heres the webcam on top of Mccauley Mtn in Old Forge. This cam is awesome for checking snow status of Old Forge for us flatlanders stuck down here in the city.

Glad to hear there's not too much snow as I don't want to be a slippin' and a slidin' this coming extended weekend. With a little sun, that might be gone by Saturday.

I was in Big Indian, Catskills this weekend and Saturday morning woke up to a winter wonderland. It was beautiful and so were the hooded mergansers I was on the nearby pond.

okay it's actually a snow drift so it doesn't really count but i did step into knee high snow on the south east side of Cascade on 11/9. On the right side as soon as you start to climb the big vertical rock face.
Here's a similar, but more selective detailed snow depth map. I've already set it up for the ADK area the afternoon of 11/16/2007. I used it a lot toward the end of last year for hikes, mainly in Vermont. Don't forget to change the date from it's present setting for this afternoon.
