    Fire Tower stings

just to let some of yuo know... i was at the fire tower on fire tower rd.
outside of Grafton and encountered wasps. Mason , i believe. as i
was climbing up about 25 ft. or so , i got stung on my arm. and by the time
looked up, i saw the nest. which i was right next to me. so , they went after me. and i got about 15 or so wasp stings. not cool.

so , be careful to anyone who might be heading out there.
maybe some knows a ranger in that area ?

    take care ,

The wasps seem particularly bad this year - I've never seen so many of them around. Good year for wasps I guess, not sure why!

Hornets are nasty things, but if anybody here happens to see a beehive along the trails, I'll be happy to, ummmm...remove it for your well-being and safety...
        Chipmunks are cute,
        Raccoons are carefree,
        Owls are smart,
        but Bears are all three!

Nasty, I got a bad sting this year too. Ouch, seems like there are a good number of buzzers aroung this year.

This year I seem to be good at finding yellow jacket nests in the ground while working around the house. One I found with the lawn mower and one I found while cutting brush. Both finds resulted in multiple stings.
