    Little Moose Lake?

Can anyone please tell me a little about Little Moose Lake in the Moose River Plains? I'm wondering if; indeed it is now state owned land, and who's been there, what's it like, what's the best route, and of course, how's the fishing?

I'll be visiting the area soon, and any information you'd give is extremely appreciated. I've read a little about it and have not heard much about it recently, hence my curiosity. Please P.M. if necessary. Thank you. --Justin

There's 2. One west of Cedar River Flow & one south of the South Shore Rd. along Fourth Lake. Both are privately owned.

I'm wondering about the one west of Cedar River Flow. From what I've read, I thought it was to be open to the public in January '07.

      I knew you'd be there.

Actually, that's news to me Justin . I've heard a lot of shooting (target practice for HOURS) around there, while I was trying to sleep in a bivy up on Little Moose Mt, before lol.

Where'd ya read about the transition ? I just went to ALSC pond data site & it may, be something to check out.

According to the '06 version of "Discover the West Central Adirondacks," the lease agreement with the Little Moose Lake Club expires on December 31, 2006, after which time the public will have full access to Little Moose Lake.

Call: 315-376-3521 & ask for DEC Forester- Keith Rivers. He'll know, or find out in short order.
