Just to Note: I see Watch Hill isn't named on the map, but it's that hill right across from Griffin Brook on the shore on Indian LakeOoh. Nice pic Qam1. That slide is quite low on the mtn. In going from your pic to the map would you say the slide is here?
As for which one it is, I'm not sure, but I would guess it's actually the other "pink" spot slightly to the North.
This slide was greatly expanded in 1995, so it's obviously not represented as it is now on topozone which is from 1978. The one you are pointing to I would guess is that small open spot seen to the left of the big slide.
If you look at the map, the summit of the 766m sub-peak it's on, the northern part runs NE/SW then in the southern part curves and runs North/South, from Watch Hill the slide should be right under the curve and you can sort of see this in the photo.
But again, it's just a guess on my part but either way, following the southern fork of Griffin Brook should lead to the base whichever one it is.
That swamp seen on the map is totally impassible, the 4WD tote road is still there, so you must follow it and then cut back after you clear the swamp to get to Griffin BrookLeave a comment:

Taken from "Across the street" to the east on Watch Hill, taken in summer in either 1997 or 1998 so the photo has faded some
