I don't believe it. It's those environmentalists trying to pull a fast one.

Amazing...up to 20 inches in the northern Adirondacks...

Ruins this Monday's plans but makes next weekends conditions more interesting.

(Part of the How to Talk to a Global Warming Skeptic guide)

Objection: It was way colder than normal today in Wagga Wagga, proof that there is no global warming.

Does this even deserve an answer? If we must ...

Answer: The chaotic nature of weather means that no conclusion about climate can ever be drawn from a single data point, hot or cold. The temperature of one place at one time is just weather, and says nothing about climate, much less climate change, much less global climate change.
Sorry, had to throw that one out there .

It's snowing here today. It was supposed to be all rain until maybe tonight and Monday. I don't look forward to shoveling this heavy, wet mess. I'm all wintered out, gimme green grass and flowers damn it!

Kevin and anyone else, for continued discussion of global warming, please go to the thread in the "Fireside" section. Thanks.

                Snow--I'm Psyched!

I did not get up to the Adirondacks this winter, but this last spurt of snow has inspired me to make a trip this week. I'll come up early on Tuesday after the worst of the weather has subsided.

Snow is fun; Spring melting is a pain. I have a funny feeling that my typical mid-May hike will be a lot colder, wetter, and muddier than usual since there will have to be a ton of late melting going on.

Can't help it if your thread needs some spicing up!

I would think the same thing, especially in the high peaks.

cazy snow last night up here! Heavy and wet and weighted everything down, i can only imagine the tree damage in the woods, they were breaking left and right here and then around 10ish the transformer blew at the end of the street, talk about a light show! Mostly rain now but looks like some snow will be mixing in and out. Dont know how long the snow will last though, this week calls for temps in the 40's and rain.
