    Ropes Course

Does anyone know of a good place to take my Girl Scouts (early teens) for a high +/or low ropes course? Either somewhere that does whole outdoorsy weekends including a ropes course or somewhere close enough to my camp on the Great Sacandaga that we could stay there and just do a ropes course as a day activity. Any reccomendations are greatly appreciated!

    Try this ...

Adirondack Center (does business as "Nehemiah's Wall, Inc.")
    212 Hart Road
    St. Johnsville, NY 13452
    518-762-2344 fax # 518-762-2044
email: adcenter@superior.net (this might be an old email)

The Center is located in Fulton County, actually not far from the County Landfill off of Mud Road.

Many of the local sports teams go there for team building exercises, including ropes.

I have the directions to the Center ... if you have access to a fax machine, just PM me the number and I can send it to you.

SUNY Potsdam does those kinds of things. We just scheduled a leaders weekend for doing that exact thing. Looks to be running about $20 per person.
How is it that you are heading west? Well, we face north and then really sudden like turn left.

We were put here for a predetermined number of days, he doesn't take away the days you spend in the Adirondacks with boys. Jim Seaton

Paul Smith's College has a ropes course on campus, but it is about a 2hr drive from where you are staying.
