Moose River Plains Roads

Does anyone know when the road into Moose River Plains opens each year?

I would PM Hugh, Poco, if he doesn't see this. I know he really likes that area.

I spoke with a DEC rep this week and he told me that the storm back in early April dumped about 5 inches of rain in the area and washed out some areas of the road. They just started repairing the wash outs this week. They hope to open it on Monday if all goes well.

Nessmuk, does that mean the gate all the way down to the south end?

Both entry gates are still closed.....as a general rule, it usually opens after Mothers Day.
