Time to turn water on?

For those fortunate enough to own camps, I'm wondering when you feel safe to turn on outside water to keep pipes from freezing. I turned mine on this past weekend but always worry when I see overnight lows below freezing.

I don't even own a camp and I don't know where yours is, but I do see that the forecasted temperatures over the next few days in Lake Placid, for example, are in the high 20's to low 30's.
